Antique French mirrors!

An old tradition:

Use of mirror in the decoration of the houses is an old tradition. Still, this style looks fresh and elegant and gives a luxurious look the place which is decorated with mirrors. French mirror is famous all over the world due to its good quality, innovative and elegant designs. There is a variety of mirrors that are different in shapes, colours and style. A wide range of antique mirrors is also available in the market. These different types of mirrors depict the different architectural style of different eras.

French mirror; a variety of shapes:

There is a range of shapes in mirrors. You can find mirrors in different geometrical shapes and in some uneven shapes also. It means that people can find almost all types of shapes in mirrors. Rectangular and oval shape is mostly liked by the people. The difference is not only due to the shapes, but also due to the different techniques of producing glass of mirrors. There is also a difference in the quality of the mirror due to different techniques of making them.

 Frames of different designs:

Many types of frames are available in the market. There are very unique colours in antique frames. The fame of these sorts of frames is due to the elegant designs and curves in shapes. Specially golden and silver colours are liked by the people as these colours are suitable with the decor of different type.

Glass of mirrors:

It is widely used. The one side of the mirror is coated with some reflective substance. This process of making mirror is called silvering. The coated side of mirror is permanent  and is often disturbed only when the mirror is broken.

Decorative mirrors:


In the Baroque era, people started using mirrors in the decoration. This use of the mirror is still very popular among those who like to have a traditional look of their house. It is also used in modern architectural designs as it is an economic way of a luxurious decoration.
